Question: Turn off grid magnet?

I am trying to do a sketch in CS5 on a PC, and I have turned on the grid using Cntl+'. When I turn off the grid, however, I am noticing that the lines of my drawing seem to be pulling to the grid as if it were a magnet. Is there any way to shut this off?

Go to View|Snap To and uncheck Grid
