Question/Help - Some effects

Hello,
I have a questions for You guys. I hope U help me.
1 - Is the "background" with faces in pieces of .. lets call it period of elements - made by using glass brush and cut then the background (in proper way)? (I hope U understand what i mean).
2 - Under the main title - there is white ... exactly .. - drop shadow with some kind of effect?

I see what you mean.

The background is one image. The artist may have used maybe a crack glass brush or painted lines on a top layer to make the image look cracked.

The white under text looks like a shadow effect layer but at dissolved setting.

Last question - don't know if You notice, but under this title there are small hm... "crystals" - this kind of effect can be achieved as U desrcibed? (By using dissolve)

Here's something I cooked up for you.

You can see the settings I used for the drop shadow (Blend Mode :dissolve) effect. you may have to play with the SPREAD and SIZE setting as well as increase the Noise (in quality) to get the look in your example.



For the cracked glass, I used a black and white vector image of cracked glass, selected the black and filled white.

You can also use an appropriate size brush set to dissolve and paint on a layer below the text layer.
