The image located below.

Completely by accident I got that bottom J.Lo to have the texture of a cut from her body, I don't know how I did it, but I like it,.
Does anyone know how to do this?
 
Sorry Levi, that image was way too overboard for this community. I cropped out the only part relevant to your question. But next time please pixelate or blur sections that are not relevant to the subject. Thanks. :righton:

To answer your question...
That effect is very simple.
When you choose the Type Tool, instead of using the normal tool open the mini-options menu on the toolbar and choose the "Horizontal Type Mask Tool" option. Click and type your text as you normally would, but when done, change to a selection tool and click-n-drag the type selection over the area you want to be shown within the type.
Then while on the photo layer press Ctrl+J to copy the selected area to a new layer.

You can now use the Move tool to position the type where you want it.
