When I put a selection around a part of a photo, when I lower the curves in that layer, I alway get a faint dark line on the bottom of the photo and on the right!
It looks like some sort of inner border appearing.
I have never come across this before, I have had all versions of photoshop since CS, first time I have seen this on the photos.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Thank you.

I wonder if you have checked your preferences?
Edit - Preferences - Interface
Now check if you have the border set to "Drop Shadow"
Could this be it?

Hi Paul,

Thanks for the help.. but that did not fix the problem!
I did what you said, and it still did it.
I am at a loss to find a way to stop it...

Thanks.

Peter

can you show us an example, I tried to duplicate what your saying, other than perhaps your selection being feathered a few pixels I can not create it

Hi iDad,

I will post a photo on here shortly, I guess that will be the best way for people to understand what I am talking about.

I should say, I believe it only appears after I crop the photo!
I have not noticed it when the photo is not cropped.

I have the pixals set to 250, for a seemless vignette around the photo, and up until PS4, I have had no problems using is that high!

Thanks.
