PS to Illustrator

I have a logo in Photoshop format, is it possible to convert it to the formay Adobe illustrator uses I've never used illustator so help would be appreciated.

Yeah Rick just throw it in there. Rantin Al is the master guru of AI! I have a few threads in the Vector Forum dealing with AI. Might be helpful if you run into issues in there. I know I did starting out | but Rantin Al saved me! :}
