Hi Gurus,
CS6 Quickmask is driving me batty (if not already). I use this function a lot and out of a clear blue sky it has decided not to work. Here is what I know and the action I have taken so far with no results.
It behaves like this. I can activate it by its' icon or by entering Q. Shows as in Quickmask mode. Then when I start to paint on the mask, I am not getting the usual 100% opacity red color for it. It is about 50%. I paint this on and then click the icon again to activate the mask. It activates but it selects the whole layer! not what I brushed on.
I know that the foreground color has to be set to white and is. When it is activated white turns to grey as normal.
I know that the brush opacity settings and flow need to be 100% and are.
I have tried changing the options in the mask preferences pop up window..nothing works to solve this. I also deleted the old preferences folder prior but it still did the same thing.
I have even completely uninstalled PS and re-installed it. I have no 3rd party plug-ins in the Plugins folder, I removed them prior to the new install process and tested to see if that was the problem. No joy.
Anybody got any idea what may be happening here with this? Thanks in advance for your help.
