I took a crack at designing a site for a friend still in progress but on the web

My problem the text seems to be not as sharp or defined as it should be.

the background is grey the text is black.... it s a small site.

Designed everything in PS the text etc and rollovers in imageready

got any ideas how it could be better the site is alpenglowpro.com

Hi laura...

Text in PS is usually anti-aliased (smoothed out through minor edge blurring). This is why it doesn't appear as sharp/clean as some type does in a browser.

This can be fixed if you like.
The fonts you're using are sans serif, so you can probably set the anti-alias option on your type layers to 'none'. This will create much cleaner looking text. But be forewaned that not all fonts handle this well. Some will have a distinct 'pixelated' look to them. Others will look just fine; usually depending on their size.

As for the Website itself...
You made a real big booboo in the design laura. [oops]
On each subpage you have no menu. No menu to allow the visitor to navigate back to the home page, or any of the other subpages. You need to fix that right away. If left as is a visitor may well just leave the site as soon as they see there's no navigation to be used.
Simple text links will suffice.

Much appreciated mrkeeper,

thank you for making me aware want to make this the best it can be obvious spelling errors too

under a bit of dead line so rushed a few things

are there obvious fonts to ignore......

and backgrounds to stay away from
