Problems with text in photoshop

Hi, i am writing over a picture using the text tool, but the text comes out like flattened, every single character is flattened, is there way to solve this? am I doing something wrong?

I also would like to align both margins of the text, like you can do with Mac pages etc. In the comands I have I can only align the right margin or center the text. Even if a import text from pages is like that. Is there a program I can use to import text that i keep both margings align ?

Sorry, I cant find that tree function. This is what´s happening, the font is chaparral pro, it happens with all the fonts. As you see the characters are like stretched



This is the other problem, in my toolbar in photoshop this function in the right side is missing, I took this image from Mac Pages. I would like to usa that with my text. Is this possible to do in photoshop?

If for some reason, you do not have the paragraph alignment icons in your toolbar, go to window>paragraph and check that. You will then have a paragraph menu to work with. I don't know why you have the problem. You may need to reset PS preferences to restore the original toolbars.

As for the text issue, without seeing the psd, it is hard to guess. Are you sure you have the expected font selected? You can also bring up the character palette to change text. Yes, for chaparral pro, which is what I thought it might be except for like you said the wideness, this is not right. It looks almost like Blackoak. I'm sorry I don't know. I do think you should try to reset preferences.

Hello, I think I am sending the file. I found the justify option in the paragraph box, thanks. Again , I am getting problemas. The spaces betwen words are hugh in some lines and I also get "-" at the end of words , like the justify option is not able to propertly organize words. I am sending you this too.
 
Please also be sure the fonts you're using are supported by your version of PS. If not -- you may experience a lot of "strange" things from time to time.
