Problems with 'Action' for logo placement

I am relatively new to photoshop CS5 and need some help. I'm trying to create an action so that I can easily place my logo in the bottom left or right corner of an image.

All I want is my .eps logo to display overtip of a gradient rectangle.

I've been able to get this action developed, but run into a problem with placement. The logo is placed randomly overtop of an image depending on the size of the image. How can i develop this action so that the logo and gradient rectangle are automatically placed in the lower left or right corner of any image regardless of its size?

I'm really bad at actions but we have some members really good at, I'm sure they will see this soon. good luck

On the layer with the logo, select all, align right edge (or left), then align bottom edge. You can use the layers menu, or select the move tool and click the appropriate icon at the top.

Thanks, I tried this, but it still doesn't work. It gives me an error message that the ellipse tool can't be used because of the canvas.

What I did in my action was:

Create new layer
Draw ellipse shape (circle)
Fill ellipse shape with white
Place logo onto image
Move logo to be overtop of ellipse shape
Alight vertically
Align horizontally
Stop record

With this action, I then opened up a different image (one that is much larger than the image I tried to create the action on) and it gave me that error message.

What gives?
