Problem with PhotoshopCC2018 brushes

Hello, this is my first post, so please be gentle. Apologies if I have posted this in the wrong thread.

I use an iMac running, recently updated OS, Wacom Tablet, calibrated, driver up to date and latest version of PhotoshopCC.

My problem is this. The brushes (Kyle T Webster ) have recently become thick black lines, with a very pronounced disolved or pixilated edge and have no texture to them at all anymore, despite the texture box being checked and the blending mode, layer mode being set to normal.

The DPI is 300 so not a low resolution. I have attached a photo of some examples of, what should be, Manga Brushes. I have tried reseting brushes, tools, preferences. I have even uninstalled and reinstalled the latest version of photoshop and gone back to an earlier version but the brushes in that version don't look "right" either.

Is this a Photoshop fix or is something awry with my iMac since the OS update?
Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

Hello and welcome.

You stated that the brushes have recently changed. Did you notice if it directly corresponded with the OS update?

If you have tried resting brushes, tools, preferences..........did you try removing the brush set from Ps, deleting them from your computer and then re-downloading the brush set then reloading them in the latest version of Ps?

Have you made any changes to your brush settings recently?

Hi, thanks for your response. It does seem to have started after the update to High Sierra. I have deleted the brushes and their folders from my computer and then uploaded and installed them again, even after a restart it makes no difference. I haven't made any significant changes to my brush settings, even resetting them but it makes no difference. It seems that more and more brushes are now becoming one dark line with no individuality any more

The brushes from this set only or all brushes?

What changes have you made?

OK, the one thing I can tell you is that Photoshop itself or any brushes loaded into Photoshop do not ever act in this manner without a reason. I don't think the mac OS upgrade had anything to do with this. This is more than likely a setting that you have altered without knowing.

Can you provide me with a direct link to the exact brush set you are using?
