When I save a GIF, it plays slower than it does in the animation tab inside PS.

Does anyone know why this is? Thanks!

Check your settings within time line per frame it sounds like it is set slower than you wish it to be

Hi bjarnidk,

This may not be a Photoshop problem. It's always best to preview the speed of the animations by exporting and viewing the GIF file in a browser. Previewing a GIF in Photoshop is only an approximation. The speed is different with different browsers and different OS's with different processor speeds. If the Gif's are playing slow on your end, then there may be something wrong with how your browser is rendering or it's refresh rate. The playback performance is completely dependent on on how it is interpreted and handled by a browser. Post one of your "slow" GIF's and let us check it out.

The "Save for Web" feature is a plugin for Photoshop. If you do not directly export from Photoshop, the settings you wanted may not be maintained. Try to NOT use the "Save for Web" feature and you might get better results.

Another possibility is the overall size of the file. A large GIF file may affect overall playback speed.
