Struggling to understand what I can do within cs2-cs3

image quality,,,,

I take an images, with 7.2 meg pix camera,

looking at image size in cs2, it defaults to width 28.444 height 42.667
image res 72
sometimes it is 300 dpi,,,,
I am interested in 16x24, 11x16 and 8.5x11
what does this mean my print will look like at these sizes.

Also I need to crop, so after I crop, how can I tell if I will pixilate,
Erggg, such naive questions I know,,
I am willing to read and not just be told,
however any help or source would be greatly appreciated.

When do I want to chg the image resolution ,,,if so,,,
and how does the res default get decided by CS2?

Thank you in advance for the advise(s)

Open your image, then go to IMAGE / IMAGE SIZE...uncheck "resample image" then change the resolution to 300dpi. (Photoshop defaults to the screen resolution of 72dpi)

Photoshop defaults to the screen resolution of 72dpi

Photoshop defaults to whatever DPI is stored in the image.
