Hi there,

I'm wanting to print up large photos of about 150cm x 100cm... all ive done in photoshop is remove dots from the photos, changed the contrast a tad and re-sized the image to 150x100 at 300 dpi..... ive been saving them as PDF files... as a "high quality print" with "Preserve Photoshop Editing Capabilities"....

What does "Preserve Photoshop Editing Capabilities" mean because whenever i select that it takes my computer like a minute or two to save the file,,, which is a pain when i have to do about 100 different files.

I was wondering what would be the best format to save it as...

Thanks :)

JB

The best format for print is TIFF, but the printer house also must print TIFFs and have a printer with more than 4 inks.

Why TIFF?

Because it preserves the 3 RGB colors that mixed creates an specific color. For example, PSD or any other file type, merges the 3 RGB colors into one color. you know that the mix between RGB produces one specific color, well, PSD merges all the 3 RGB colors into one 8the resulting color). TIFF doesn't. It preserves the 3 RGB colors. This is much better when printing because the color conversion between digital color and pigments.
