just recently purchased cs5 ext and I think the preferences are different from my orig cs2. I used to be able to have two files vizable in work area and move one file into the other and combine into one photo. Don't seem to be able to do this in cs5ext. Please help.

Just drag the "tab" of the documents you have open and drop them into the workspace area, this will open them in "windowed" mode instead of "tabbed" mode.

You can also right click any layer and choose "Duplicate Layer" then choose to duplicate it onto any document you have open in Photoshop.

Or go to Window> Arrange> Float in Window ( Float all in Windows)

I couldn't get admin's suggestion to work. Sorry
