They have their work cut out. I had some dealings with Serif on a vector program I bought from them and as far as I personally was concerned it sucked.

Not really a threat when it's only available on the one platform - besides PS is forever evolving and the screen shots i have looked at just look like blatant rips of PS based skins.

If this application turns out to be a real threat to Photoshop, competition is good and might turn out to be a good thing.

This will compel adobe to raise their game to do more in improving Photoshop's features.

And I have to agree with Hioogle with regards to price. If this will be affordable to hobbyists and draws them away from adobe, this leaves adobe products purely for professional artists and hard-core aficionados.


Who knows? The guys in the adobe think tank might come up with the much dreamt of CSI capability ..... . Let's see future competitors beat that......
