I was able to replicate it on Photoshop CC2017.1, opened up a 4600 * 2800 px image this was just a random image I had, then for a couple of minutes I used the patch tool just all over the image patching in various locations for that period and checked the scratch disk size and it grew to about 10GB in that short space of time.
Then I done exactly the same thing this time using Photoshop CC2015 and the scratch disk size was only about 500MB
You gotta love Abode :biglaff:
The above was tested on my Laptop, so just decided to run a similar test on my PC and here's the scratch disk size difference
