Plug in folder in CS2

I finally got everything set up in the new Mac and am ready to start adding stuff to specific programs. What I don't want to do in CS2 is put every plug-in and action I have into the PS folders. It just makes the program take WAAAAY too long to open. Isn't there a way, like with fonts, that you can have a second folder in CS and only access it when you need a specific Action or Plug-in? If so, what do I need to do?

As always, Muchos Gracis Amigo's? ;)

Lee,

Here's what you are looking for. I've never tried it but...

Let us know how it works (if it works).

Personally I just load up everything and it gets paged off to disc. It's a slow startup but doesn't affect PS once the launch and first writing to scratch disk is over.

One thing is to pare your presets to the basic sets and use the Preset Manager or the palette menus to load just those which you will need. Similarly for Actions. You can load actions as needed from the palette menu.

Thanks, sPECtre.

LOL.....You crack my up, Welles :D

They both look interesting. I skim read both and did not see anything about platform (Mac or PC).? Did I miss something (which would not be unusual-LOL)

Yes, I've got both platforms now, but I keep forgetting to look after such things. Thanks for the reminder.
