hello everyone,

I am very new to photoshop and all the wonderful things it can do. I am by no means a designer, im just your average guy looking for some help. I have a parking lot striping business and was wondering if you guys could take a look at my VERY SIMPLE logo and help me make it look so much better. I don't need anything elegant just professional looking.

im trying to attach the small PSD so you would have the original design. What I am looking for is a low key business logo. nothing flashy or no bright colors. this is for a parking lot striping business that I have. im the guy who paints the yellow lines ha ha ha

if you don't mind please take a look at my simple design and see what improvements you can make. thanks

looking at your psd you obviously know what you are doing .. I'll be watching your progress and posts to see how it goes, good luck
 
try adding a picture of a lot that you have done in background or a view of street lines? maybe?

The only problem is you stressed that you want it simple and that's what you done, you made it simple, i could run with this but you don't want anything bright or flashy which would be adding Kick to it imho...
 
I really like that design you put together. im not sure if it would blend in with what i already have. I would be interested to see what flashy would look like now. attached is the jpg if what I put together last night. this is my first run at doing any kind of work like this. rack card 4x9

Well, that is actually just some added "parking lot" effex to your design... I used your PSD file and just added those... o0o wait, i see what your saying, let me stroke the border of the background brb...

Edit: By the way, your doing pretty good for your first mock up...
