Id like for the gradient circle to transparent outside of the rounded rectangle. I only want it to be viewable inside the rounded rectangle. I however want the gradient pattern to end inside of the rounded rectangle and not at the lower right end of the circle which is not viewable.

I also want to make the transparent area labeled with the red X to be white.

How can I do this? Thanks

With the selection of the rounded rectangle on the gradient, cut out (ctrl x) the gradient section you want, then paste (ctl v) to a new layer. You can throw away the layer that had the original gradient on it, or just turn it off.
Make a new layer below the new pasted layer (ctrl click the new layer icon), using the same selection, fill it with white.
