I can't say exactly how they did that image, but I don't think it's a stroke effect. The molten chrome can be achieved by playing around with the contour waveform on Satin, one of the fx available on the layers. Set the color of the shape you're working on to a light grey & the satin to a dark grey or black, then play around with the settings.

If you want the lettering. It look as though the background shape had the letters cut from it, then the letters re-pasted over the top, and given effects of their own. Making it look like a stroke but it's actually a separate shape.

That's how I would do it anyway. Hope that helps.

don't know what effects is this you may check plastic wrap under the filter gallery, i tried to attempt slimier like this, liquid metal effect copy.jpg

you can go with another effects.

Hi KA,

This is what I did..............

1. I typed the text (in red).
2. Duplicated the text layer, and rastorized the copy.
3. Added a new layer and named it METAL.
4. With the METAL layer highlighted, I then selected the the text by Command + clicking the thumbnail of the text layer (either). Turn off both text layers.
5. With the METAL layer still highlighted and the marching ant (text) selection, I went to SELECT > MODIFY > EXPAND and entered 12 px.
6. Still on the METAL layer. I then filled this selection with silver/gray. (c0c0c2) Command + D to deselect.
7. Still on the METAL layer. I again selected the the text by Command + clicking the thumbnail of the text layer (either) and I hit delete which punches out the text from the silver.

On the METAL layer, from here I played around with the settings in a layer style until I had a reasonable approximation of a metal effect. Far too many to list!

8. I turned on the rastorized text layer and added a layer style. An Inner shadow and a gradient overlay.

It's not exactly the same...........but it get's you going in the right direction!

Ps- I think the original "Flores Carp Experience" text effect may have been a 3D effect.
