Yo.
So my girlfriend is fascinated with graffiti art and am having some problems because I want framed art for her apartment. Lets say I find an image I REALLY like, but it is incredibly low resolution. KEEP IN MIND that all of these images are usually just stencils. Like this one -->

So that is an image I would like to print for my girlfriend. She loves it. I want to print it in a really high resolution, like (estimated) 3000 x 2000 w/ 300 DPI for an 18x24 poster.
This is what I've done so far, but the EDGES and the inside of the black on the girl look grainy.
1. Resize the original to huge proportions, select by color, and copy that selection and move it over to the other one in a new layer.
2. Mess around with feather, smooth, expand, fill, etc, until I try to get it to look good. It is kind of grainy and the edges aren't smooth like they need to be for print.
WHAT WOULD YOU DO? If you can help me I can paypal a couple bucks if necessary.
The other print she likes is more technical (just more colors), but that means more grainyness and hardness for me. It looks like this:

LET ME KNOW! Thanks so much y'all. To summarize:
I need a low res, two or three color image, converted in to a high res, print ready image. The edges need to be smooth.
