Please help!!!!! Color banding!!!!

Hey I am having a bad issue with my pics!

When I have a gradient from one color to the next I see pixeled gradient! I have tried on several computers and different monitors and cant seem to figure out what it is! I have posted a pic of what I mean, I guess you could call it color banding as well! It is driving me CRAZY!:banghead:

Try to convert gradient layer to smart object, add 1% of noise, that should remove the banding. Then change the noise filter transparency until layer dose not look noisy anymore, but banding is still not visible
 
Hey, 3headcat. First off thank you for your response. I did what you suggested and I can see where that helped the banding be a little more smooth, but the banding still appears. Also, it isnt only when I use a gradient layer, it is anytime there is a gradient in color from light to dark. It is driving me crazy!!!
