Hey Gang! :D

I've just realized, i haven't given you some serious work to look at :P

Bokeh Blue Hello World.jpg
(double click for full size)

Although this was a Quick 10 minute job, I have really come to like it, and i would like to know your thoughts on it.

disregard the little Bert in the corner, he's my new watermark, and also the phrase, it was the first thing that popped into my head :P

Please take this seriously, unlike my last image thread ;)

Thanks

Alex

Very Good Alex my only suggestion would be (is only a suggestion not criticism) I think with this image as it is dark that maybe the bottom half aka the reflection stuff could have a slight gaussian blur on top of what may have already been applied. But as I said that is just a suggestion

on your bokah brush layer as well maybe you could soften the edges slightly by using either softer edge brush or add a slight outer glow or just a slight gaussian blur again Bokah is suppose to be soft. Which your is I just think it is missing something on the edges, but that is preference

how about this?

bit more, bit less?

oh right yeah, were you looking at the attachment name? i'll add some blur in there, i couldn't find a better word to describe the dots :P

yes that is better but I think it was something else throwing my eyes off and I dont know what it is around the base of the ELL part of Hello maybe it is an outer glow or coloured shadow but I think it could be removed I think it will make the whole image look cleaner

But like anything the more you look at it the pickier you get

well you are right about getting the drop shadow off. it does look much cleaner now, but also darker :P

Soft Dots:

Hard Dots:

don't worry pickiness is good sometimes :P

no it was not meant as an outer glow as such just to create some highlights around the text maybe inner glow would look better make sure it is a slightly lighter shade of blue
