Plans For the Weekend?


I plan on increasing my 3D modeling skills.
As, at my current skill level I still find it to be a pain and takes like an hour or 2 to get anything good done.
So, yeah... I am going to be at my computer desk woot!
 
hahaha! you'll benefit from it trust me just look at hoog! he's a perfect example of what you could be doing :P
 
Dont use me as a perfect example I have spent over an hour making a laptop.

And yes a series of graphics and a website to build for a client is my weekend. not to mention finish off another 1 for a client that cant make up there mind.
 
sounds like you've got your work cut out hoogle! the only prob i see with that laptop is it has no mouse and the kayboard is huge, but it gives it more of an Icon sort of look.

OH OH and it's not switched on :P
 
So what you are saying is they act like they are on this forum? LOL!

Also the faults on your computer is your enter key has yet to be mended all the way.
There are no arrow keys under the enter key.
And the small spot next to the screen looks like it should be a little less reflective.
Oh, along with the hinges on the laptop are not creased. There should be a small crease.
And, did I mention I am a perfectionist when I am drinking coffee?
Oh, and there is no touch pad.
But, As an icon all of these would be fine.

the red key wont be there that is a visual marker for me to replace with another object at a later stage the angle will not be that angle so will alter the reflection on screen you really will only get a quick glimpse at the hinges so no need to really make it complicated, Keyboard is just symbolic, The screen will actualy have video playing on it the obvious mistak is I have adjusted the model height at some point and none of my keys on it are the same height and are now all over the place there is a lot of corrections to make just in that
 
Ok I will give you credit too, The problem is it is wat OTT for what I need it for now lol, but I will make it work

oh, the site seems to have gone REALLY slow all of a sudden and it isn't saving my edits either that or i can't see them so I'll say it here

Hoogle, that is looking very nice!
But may I suggest an extra transitional material between the texture of the mouse pad and the body of the computer.
It would reduce the clash of smooth and rough textures, which is aesthetically pleasing.
 
Is this better I am sort of being inspired by the new Shiny HP laptops but saying pretty much all new laptops are shinybut HP have this cool touchpad that is like a marble effect not sure I am pulling it off cant find a pic to work from

It has a weird texture to it.
But it will be of bad quality as the only camera I have is a web cam. I have a budget... lol
 
I dont get people like you you will spend $2000 on cinema 4d $800 on Photoshop yet only $400 on a computer to run it all lol

Personally i don't believe anyone would spend that amount on software and ONLY spend pennies on the computer to run it through, unless it was the other way around and that could only mean one thing.
 
well I am not someone that says you need big expensive computers to be good at x But with 3d Rendering on a good computer it can take a couple of days for less than a miniute of animation. this is 1 of the only times I can safely say your money is best spent on hardware first then software as it is pointless having software if you cant render your stuff out, That said if you only want to render out 1 frame then I guess You could get away with it.
