Placing logo on an object?

Hello

I am hoping someone may help me with this, please.

I have a photo of an object (a shiny silver padlock), and wish to place on the body of the lock a company logo (which is black and contains a name).

What is the best way of going about this?

Thanks.

Steve

Paste the logo onto a new layer and set the blending mode to multiply (at the top of the layers palette). You'll more than likely need to distort the logo to match the perspective of the padlock (edit > transform). You'll may also need to look at matching the lighting (if there are any highlights running across where the logo is placed).

Just keep standing back and thinking "does it look natural" and if it doesn't "why not" and adjust accordingly.

Hope that's useful. It's a bit difficult without seeing the images you're using.

Hello Digital Hero

Many thanks for your post.

I've saved it and will try it when I get home.

Yes, I think you're right, it's the transform tool I need to be looking at.

Cheers

Steve
