I downloaded the Pixelquid plug-in.
But when I want to install it, it opens the Extension Manager.

This is the translation of what it says in my german version.

The extension "com.pixelquid.heroplayer" could not be installed.
Make sure that the file "manifest.xml" for this extension is valid,
and that Extension Manager detects at least one supported by the extension product.

Can anyone help please?

Thanks
Chris

Have you tried the plugin, I actually installed it and had some issues with it not loading images and not been able to search.

Yes Ged, I did and it works fine.
Here's the way to proceed to use it.
Go to the site PixelSquid, log in and choose the picture. Click on add to Photoshop.
Open PS on a blank layer and open the plug-in:

AGAIN, log in and click on refresh. (You'll have to log in everytime after closing PS)
Click on the image you want and it will open in PS.

Untitled-2.jpg

Use your mouse to position the object the way you want in that box and it will adjust on your layer in PS

Untitled-3.jpg

It works fine but when you choose HiDef it can be slow (even on my system)

If you want the full PSD file, click on that option.

Thanks Eggy

Just realized I only tried it on my work PC and we use a proxy server so I think that was causing the issues, the work firewall was obviously blocking the content from loading.
Just tried it on my home PC and all is good

Cheers
Ged

Oeps, sorry Chris, I didn't see you have CC now too. I thought you still worked with CS6 extended.
My mistake.
But I had no problems at all installing the plug-in myself.

LOL.....

So let me get this right....you have to...

1. Navigate to a website.
2. Create an account.
3. Log in to that account.
4. Find an image and 'ADD' it to PS.
5. Open PS.
6. Create a new layer.
7. Open the Plugin-In.
8. Log-in AGAIN!
9. Refresh everything.
10. Click image.
11. Do most of that again next time you need it. ('Need' is probably too strong a word)

Is it really worth all that?

Anyway....thanks for the instructions.....still didn't work for me....plug-in just hangs but to be honest I'm not going to lose any sleep over it.

Regards.
MrToM.
