Hi, I have all the Adobe products installed on my computer, but I have never worked with photoshop before. All I want to do is remove the background around the Warrior head, but this task seemingly defeats me :banghead:. Anybody willing to help me would be much appreciated . Thank you in advance!test.jpg

There are so many ways to do this.

The best one, in my opinion, is to use the pen tool to trace around the whole thing. Then turn it to a selection and press ctrl+J.

Then you could use a layer mask. Or you could copy the layer and actually erase the background.

I would do a YouTube search for removing backgrounds in Photoshop. Find a good tutorial, or check the tutorial section here, and follow the instructions.

DS is correct about the pen tool the best way but you may be able to duplicate the layer use threshold on the top layer to the point where you're just black-and-white, select the outer area to trim out you may have to use the pen tool of or lasso tool to get shadow area I believe the threshold will save you some trim time, try it

This looks like the General Arnold High School mascot. Haven't seen that since we were stationed in England back in '79!

Do you have a larger version with higher resolution?
