Hey guys,

I have been working on building myself a website. It's nothing amazing – just a simple wordpress 3.0.1 themed blog and before I start with my branding and marketing, I want to get the website running as smooth as possible. My first huge hurdle has been doing the following.

I want to upload my images with a specific sized padding around them and a 1 pxl border. I figured that one out. My images are restricted to 850pxls wide. I will need three templates: 1 for a landscape image, 1 for a portrait image, and one for a dual-portrait image (basically, two portrait images next to each other).

I have worked out the canvas size for each of these templates, and how big the images themselves need to be, and where my web link logo will go – I have even added guides to the PSD template files.

Is there an easy way to insert images into the appropriate template and have everything sized correctly and saved accordingly? How would you tell two files to insert onto the same template (dual-portrait)?

Is my best bed just opening them into Photoshop from Lightroom, resizing them to the desired size, and dragging them onto the template – save as – delete the image layer and repeat? What about smart objects?

I'm trying to get this as automated as possible so it won't be a huge drag to blog while I'm busy.

Thanks,

Kris

Hmmm not sure I understand your question. But it sounds like a simple drag a drop

Thanks for replying.

I worked it out.

All I did was go to BlogStomp - and buy their actions pack.

Life made easy. Definitely worth saving the time to make them all myself.
