Photoshop Technique

Hi Im looking for someone to help me out a little bit. Im looking to make a couple of body decals for some dirtbikes. But how do you translate the dimensions of the body into photoshop? or what is this technique called?

well that depends, I assume you'll want to print out at 300dpi correct?

Just take down measurements of how big you want it on the bike (or whatever).. .let's say it's roughly an 8 inch by 14.5 inch graphic.

In Photoshop, make sure the settings are correct (enter the inches, and change the resolution to 300ppi)

If this is not what you're trying to do, please elaborate so someone can answer your question more thoroughly.
