hi,
when i use any type of filter, for example spin blur, the image is taking forever to render even though the laptop is new and clean.

what is causing this? i've even allocated 92% RAM to photoshop in preferences.

thanks

This can happen when your computer resources are insufficient for the load being put on the system. Task Manager in Windows machine and Activity Monitor on Macs will show where the computer resources are spending their time

Also, it is inadvisable to give that high a percentage to Photoshop. Photoshop uses system OS and resources for much of its work so you could actually be slowing down the system with that high of a percentage. Best to use the recommended default and upgrade your system (e.g. more main memory) to help resolve the issue.

There can be other issues going on yet that might be a start.
