Hi guys

Is it possible to after making changes to PS settings be able to save them? For example when I open PS is there a way to choose which settings to use depending on what I am working on?

Thanks
Shmideo

Well I want to play around with Pixel Art which means changing preferences so would like a way of restoring to the previous or load them.

Thanks
Shmideo

The preference changes should stay where you set them until you change them again. I may not be understanding you though.

Yes but I just wondered if you could revert to previous settings without having to go through them all again and also return to the new settings whenever required.

I know you can set, save, and load different workspaces. But I'm fairly certain that any changes made to Ps preferences will have to be manually set and re-set. I could be wrong though!

Someone else may come along with a better answer, sorry. Good luck!

There are more multiple ways of achieving this.
1) Create a template
2) Create a new document with the settings you like customise your layout and panels etc and save that layout, Change font size etc exactly how you like it including image mode and save it. That way you can just reopen that file at any time with those exact settings then just do save as to save future files so that is always a virgin file.

3) may not apply to photoshop but I do know on a windows machine and illustrator you can go to appdata>roaming>adobe>illustrator>en_GB>x64> New Document Profiles and save a file like created in step option 2 which will then appear on your drop down menu when opening a new document. However having a quick look at the appdata folder this option does not seem to be available in photoshop.
