Hey I'm wondering if someone can edit a picture for me.
In the first picture, the girl's hair is shades of brown, however her actual hair color is like how it appears in the second picture. It is more of a black/charcoal/gray color. Would somebody be able to edit the hair in the first picture to color match the second one? I've been trying to mess with it in photoshop for hours but I'm terrible at it so I didn't really make any progress. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

This is done very fast to demonstrate.

Create a new layer above the original.
Use Select Color and Refine mask to isolate the hair. (or any technique your comfortable with)

Once you have the hair isolated, hit the add layer mask icon at the bottom of the layers Panel to add a layer mask to the new layer we just made.

Then, as suggested in the video above, add a Selective Color adjustment layer and adjust.
Clip the adjustment layer to the masked layer.
I had a hard time getting the right color and shade so I also had to add a Hue & Saturation adjustment layer.

As I said, this is not perfect.

Hope that helps.

Ok after messing with all of the steps in the instructions you guys gave me, I think I finally ended with a finished product I'm satisfied with.
Here it is:

I followed the steps you gave me to darken the hair. After I got a rough finished version of that I touched up any rough and discolored edges with the healing brush. Then I did the same hair procedure to the eyes to touch up the vividness and darkness to match both the hair, and the eye color from the other picture.
