Photoshop request

Hello! I've read the general rule and the thread rule for photoshop request so I'm hoping that this wouldn't be offensive to some or breaking any rules, but here goes!

One of my friend is considering dying her hair to blonde, while I'm trying to convince her to go red-haired instead. I would gladly do this on my own, however my skills is pretty sub-par for this job since I can only copy-pasta. Any colorization/manipulations for two picture to compare and contracts would be excellent! (Although, I get the feeling that this might get ignored or trolled, in either way, feel free to go wild!)

I would look over for some advices and tips to do this on my own, so any suggestions would be also be appreciated too as well.

* duplicate current layer
* Select all the Hair in quick mask mode "Q" key for quick mask
* Return back to normal mode "Q" key
* Insert an Adjustment layer of a solid color with the color you want the hair
* set the new layer's blending mode to soft light
* change the layer opacity wherever or whenever necessary.

Thanks! I'll give that a shot. I'm downloading the trail version right now so I'll put that to use and I'll post my results up later.

i am no pro/expert photoshoper... self thought... and I dunno if you are gonna come back to this page, but i tried to do something

PS: im not sure if you like red... but your username says yellow
PS2: tell your friend to take a pic behind a white or single colour background cause it makes it easier.
