Photoshop Request *NEWBIE*

Can someone please resize this image into a resolution of 1280x768 (height = 1280px, width = 768px) and keep the blank background. I know the original 'X' is in a square shape so I'm unsure if it can be put into this vertical rectangle shape. I want the four coloured bars to continue into each of the corners please and also do another copy with a sort of glossy reflective look applied to the colours if possible. Maybe also as the image is being enlarged, make the bars slightly wider so they don't look long and skinny.
