Photoshop request - anyone up for a challenge?

Hi, I need help with removing something from a photo.
You can find it in attachment, I was asked to remove the two people sitting on the dock in the middle of the photo. I have tried but this is something out of my league.. so I'm calling for help!

Anyone have the skills to remove them and fill in the background?
Or is there just not enough to work with to fill it up?

I'd be forever grateful

If elektroclashx has PS we can help him/her to learn how to do this.
If not we can teach elektroclashx to do it in Gimp.

If you want to do a serious edit, that's your choice.

it's not very difficult but time consuming... I would go for clone/healing and patch tools, switching between them all the way till the end

I used Adobe Photoshop CS5 with the healing tool but I just couldn't get it right!
I'd like to learn if anyone cares to teach me!

you could use 1 big stone to make 3 other stones with copy paste on new layer
you can use dodge -tool to make lighter , mask to fit , transform to rotate

healing brush and clone tool is ok for small things like spot on stone
