photoshop out the tiny bit of white collar please

Hi, we sadly lost our pet cat after 19 years with us. I want to put a nice picture in a frame for the family for xmas but there is a bit of white collar that sticks out with ruins the whole photo. Could someone get rid of it please so it just looks like black fur and whiskers if thats possible?

I just finished mine. I'm in nearly the same situation as you... my cat is almost 19 and has recently gotten very sick and will not last much longer.

Rich, I especially like that you brightened the shadows a bit. I was in the midst of doing the same thing (plus removing some of the clutter in the background) when you posted yours, so I just stopped in my tracks, so don't pay any attention to my initial lousy masking job (ie, before I painted on the masks), LOL.
