Hi Everyone,
I am new to the forum and Photoshop CS6. My goal is to learn Photoshop in the of digital background papers. I want to learn this but I have to teach myself. Is there any one that can guide me into creating textures and pattern tutorials? Or, any advice on how I can accomplish this?

My advice is to watch the millions out there, eventually you'll see a pattern to them and you'll see ways you may want to go with for your own style.
 
If you're totally new to Photoshop find a good book to teach you the basics, you'll need all of them no matter what you try to do in PS.
Watch videos on Youtube and if you can afford it Kelby Training and Lynda.com have tons of videos for $25 a month, you can pick up a lot in only 1 month watching tutorials by the pro's at either site.
