Hello. I recently took a picture of my dog on a beach which I love except for her bright red lead sticking out like a sore thumb. I cannot manage to remove it so it looks like it wasnt there, are there any tips. Or kind people who are photoshop gurus who wouldnt mind removing it for me?

My personal email is tomlinsonbrown(at)aol(dot)com

I can upload or email you the image for tips or removal?

Thanks
Luke

What version of photoshop do you have? If you have CS5, the new content aware features will give you a good start for removing something from your image. If you don't have that you can use the "spot healing brush tool" or the "clone stamp tool" to gradually cover that up and make it blend in. If you want I can give it a shot and see what I come up with?

so many ways to do it
why not host the image at a hosting site and past the address here we will be able to tell much better the best route to take.

Hi. Thanks for that. I just have photo shop think its just CS3 version.

I will try to host it on flickr now and will post the link in a few minutes.

If you could have a go that would be amazing!!

I will post my email so you can send it me with your effort?

Thanks

Here is what I was able to come up with. Someone with more experience could probably do it WAY better than I did. I used a combination of the healing brush tool, the clone stamp tool, and the patch tool. If I were to spend a lot of time on it I could get it to look perfect but you get the idea. If you want to go through and do it yourself, I would say just take your time and use those tools. At least, that's what I would do but I am still pretty new to this.
