Photoshop.exe - Not letting me work!

Hello,

I've done research and found several different reasons for my issue but thought I would ask to see if I can get a straight answer. I am such a computer novice that I would appreciate "laymans" terms when it comes to possibly discussing my problem. )

I was updating a flyer I created in photoshop version 7.0.1 and I keep getting a photoshop.exe error. I'm trying to upload a screenshot but it's too big and I don't know how to make it smaller.

Here is the error description I'm getting: The procedure point ?GetTrackTaxonPurchases@StarterVendor@ACE@@QAE_NXZ could not be located in the dynamic link library ACE.dll.


Please help. I'm about to throw my computer out the window.

ACE.dll is the Adobe Color Engine.

?GetTrackTaxonPurchases@StarterVendor.... strange...almost looks you are infected with spyware, word like "purchases" and "vendor" always raise a red flag for me.

Check your computer for spyware and viruses, reset your Photoshop preference file and/or uninstall/install Photoshop, that should most likely solve it.
