Okay, so, no matter how much I play around with the hue/saturation, sharpening it, upping/lowering the brightness and/or contrast on regular, Overlay, High Pass, Soft Light, etc., I just can't figure out how to achieve this effect!
The idea is to make this picture look like this one. I realize that they are different pictures and that one is probably of significant lower quality that the other, but even so, there is an obvious effect being used on the second one that I would like to know how to achieve even on a high-quality image, and also the best of my ability on the first picture.
Can anyone identify this effect? And, if so, please give me specific, detailed directions? Even if it is just that I don't have the right versions, directions will help because I can harass friends with more updated versions of Photoshop. =P
Thanks!
