Photoshop CS5 freezes.

I am running Photoshop CS5 on a PC using Windows 7 in 64 bit mode. Dual xenon processors with 8 cores and NVIDIA Quadro 2000 graphics card. The program continues to freeze especially when I import a file. It lets me reboot quickly but I lose all of my work up to the freeze point.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Try unchecking Enable OpenGL Drawing and make sure your video driver is up to date.

If that doesn't help reset your preferences file.
Start Photoshop while holding down Ctrl+Alt+Shift (Windows)
or Command+Option+Shift (Mac OS X).

Then, click Yes to the message, "Delete the Adobe Photoshop Settings file?"
