photoshop cs2 text effect problem

Hi, I want to add stroke effect to a text bu it seems like this picture, it is not smooth, it has some corners, document size is 12mp, 300 dpi, how can I fiz it?

Before adding the effect, rasterize the text and retouch by erasing the jagged corners with the eraser tool set with a hard edge. Or you could use the Pen tool to create a nicely curved path covering the jagged edges, ALT+click the work path in Path palette and hit delete.

same problem on the rasterized text, too... look at this picture and please try it by opening new 12 mp doc. and create very big text, apply via layer styles stroke effect, while stroke effect getting larger values, you will see angularity on the corners, is it normally? I dont think so...
