Pulling a blank here.....

I created some photoshop brushes of basic shapes, they were meant to turn out black and NON see through like I created them, but after creating the brushes and trying them out, they had an opacity to them that does not really help when using these.

How can I create them and make sure they are not see through?? Is there an extra step that I am missing??

it could be the background you did them on was to much of a match that you didn't notice if the brush was made with a transparency to them. if you still have the original file, check the fill and transparency of the brush layer itself and the opacity and flow of the paint color applied

As iDad said, check the brush settings when you are using the brushes. If you have any kind of reduced flow or opacity then you are going to get something less than 100% opaque.

Don't really know if this is a case here, but it looks like as of some PS version Adobe started applying S-curve to brushes.

First they did it for gradients, which was pretty bugging(and it's just a pretty easy way to put it! ), but you could still make up for it, once you are aware of that and being on guard.

But later they started doing it for BRUSHES! God knows why! I can not figure out of any justifiable reason for that. But some of my old techniques just merely stopped working in new versions!

At some point turning off Color Management helped for some versions, (or turning back to "PS4 Color Management"). But as for brushes now I can't see any treatment! It simply won't work!

Anybody know of any workaround for the matter?
