Photoshop Broken Brush Tips (Solved)

When I expand the size of my brush, be it the brush tool, clone tool, healing brush, eraser, etc. the circle that represents the brush starts to break up when I increase the size of the brush. I can see the entire circle of the brush in the smaller sizes, but when I start to increase the brush size, the circle breaks up more and more with each increase in size. The brush will eventually disappear when continually increasing the size.

I just loaded CS5 and noticed this problem when expanding the size of the brush, eraser, clone tool etc.

I'd like to be able to capture the brush in a screen shot or in the image to give you a visual of what I'm attempting to explain, but I'm unable to capture an image with the brush represented.

Any ideas what might be causing this??

Thanks for any help!!

System being used is a Windows - XP Pro 32 bit- Duo Core Processor - 3.0GHZ RAM

Go to Edit --> Preferences --> Cursor and change Painting Cursors to Full Size Brush Tip.

Does that make a difference?

You should also make sure you are running the latest Nvidia graphics drivers.

Gaussian - no luck on the Preferences to full size brush tips

Gaussian and Ultiman - I'll attempt the latest drivers in a little while and keep you posted, thanks for your ideas!! There are about 5 versions of my GeForce 6200, I need to break open the box to determine which one I have. I don't think Device Manager in XP Pro gives me that granular of detail in the video card??

AH HA!!! Got it, the NVIDIA site was able to determine which video card series I had of the 6200 and I uploaded the drivers and my brush can be set to any size without breaking apart!!

Problem resolved!!!

Thanks a million!!
