Photoshop Advice

Hello all. I am pretty sure how to do it, but what would be everyones process to deleting the name off a hockey jersey and placing another name back on it. FYI, I'm by far from a "newbie" to Photoshop, so any advanced advice would be great.

So many ways, clone stamp,cut ,copy paste,select it recolor,but best way to get a good solution is to post an example. of what's involved

Here is the said photo. It changed from the first one I was describing. But I am going to delete the Russian on the back of the orange jersey and add a name on the top of the number. What do you think?

I would select the area a few pixels out from lettering feather out a few more if you can (posted image pretty small) then paint the orange> then reapply your text and position it as needed

I am sure a few filters would help also perhaps add a few pixels of noise or gaussian blur. remember work in layers

Yea I am going to purchase the large image. This one is for editorial use only, so I went with this image.
