Photoshop Action Help

Hi,

I have around 2000 .eps files, all in their own subfolder. I would like to create a Photoshop action that opens each eps file and creates a jpg preview in a specified size (400 pixels wide) and then saves the image (with the filename thumb2.jpg) in each individual folder with the matching eps file.

Can this be done?

I have been experimenting with the actions in Photoshop, but its not working.

Any help would be greatly appreciated :) I really hope I don't have to do this manually:rolleyes:

There are plenty of scripts out there like this 1 for example http://www.benhofer.com/index.php/2...r-batch-converting-to-gif-jpeg-png-pdf-ai-eps

however you may need to modify the script to make it copy from a folder and create a new corresponding folder (if that is possible) Otherwise you will need to do it 1 folder at a time. I am sure though with some research you may be able to get what you want to achieve with 1 action / batch process you may need to find a batch script for Bridge rather than photoshop or illustrator.

But a warning you will need a powerful computer for that amount of files so you may be better off splitting them up into groups of 100. You dont want to do a hundred then find it crashes halfway through etc.
