Photoshop 7 .awe files

So, every once in a while when on the net and I either open or close photoshop it will update and download these .awe files. Exactly what are these? What do they do? Are they neccesary? Just wandering - Alistair

If I'm not mistaken, AWE is an extension for midi-audio files and is associated with SoundBlaster in some way....???

And that would associate with Ps... how? [confused] I looked in the extionsions for Open in photoshop, and there is no acrobat stuff so im not sure how they associate with eachother, BUT, what's a Acrobat Touch-Up Image???

I now know what you mean. These are files that have to do with Photoshop's automatic update feature.

Go to Edit/Preferences/Adobe online...

Here you can select how often Photoshop should check for updates

o no wander, its set on once a week. Well, mabee I should keep it there, don't want to fall behind on updates
