Well executed, but in this particular image the background needs to have some connection with the main subject, but there isn't one, which leaves the viewer clueless and that's why this image will not have a lot of impact on most people.

I do like the fact that this cable (?) was repeated in the background, that makes the main subject itself 'stronger'.
