PHOTOGRAPHS IN, AROUND, THROUGH AND ABOUT FOG (20130429a thread)

Everyone loves taking pictures in fog, so you must have some interesting shots stashed away in your archives. Drag 'em out and post 'em here. We'd love to see what it looks like when it's foggy in your part of the world, day or night. The more mysterious, the better, but if you're a real smarty pants, you'll probably realize that we aren't excluding fog on your eyeglasses, fog on your camera lens, condensation on your icy drink or even attempts to simulate fog in Photoshop. ;-)

Discussions of the images and on topic comments will be in this thread this week, but pls follow the other general guidelines for the NO WORDS threads (eg, no nude images, YOU must be the photographer, etc.).

PS - One of these was taken in 1971 on Kodachrome using my old, trusty Nikon F with a classic 50 f/2 pre-AI lens. Can you guess which one? BTW, don't think that looking at the file name is going to help you -- I rephotographed the slide a few years ago to digitize it. I also like fake frames and vignetting. ;-)

I would say the third one down (tree,blue bg)is the guess. I have some foggy, I'll see if I can find them later but that guessing comment put my curiosity in high gear for now?...

Does mountain climbing into the clouds count as foG 1984 scanned, looks like I lost the larger scanned photo....... damn, I bet I lost more than just that one..... I hate when that happens

Paul's predicament is a serious matter that required consultation with the highest authorities. For those individuals such as him, ie, having a genuine certified fog disability, we will accept photos of sandstorms, dust devils, sea spray, low hanging clouds, or any other meteorological condition that reduces visibility. Thus spaketh Tom.

I have another 214 shots if you want them .
I wen't through a bunch of Cape Cod shots I had, overcast but no fog.

I knew I had something from Cape Cod/New England actually.

Steve, definitely mysterious. One can imagine the sort of influences Steven King was under up in coastal Maine to write creepy stories like, "The Mist" .
