Photo editing help - smart newbie willing to learn and do the work

Hi my name is Tami and I am FAR from a Guru so I thought what better place to get help than from a whole forum of Guru's )
So I am making a photo blog header for my blog. Previously had a cartoonish one but now am going for the real thing. My husband took a series of photos for me to use and I like a few elements of each.
My blog is called Cats and Candor and the photos are of me sitting at my desk with a few of my cats on the desk at different times. I want to blend some of the photos that almost all of the cats are on the desk in the same photo.
I can upload some of the photos for examples if needed.
I just got Photoshop CS5 and am only used to using Photoshop Elements LOL But I'm a quick learner!
If you point toward tutorials or give advice etc I am open to all!

I am also looking for a wordpress theme with a big header if anyone cares to pitch in on that also!

The first advice is if you want to cut out a certain object from a picture you need to get your hands dirty with the pen tool. i tried looking for tutorial someone posted here on the forum but cant find it.

EDIT: If you can post the pics maybe someone will do the whole thing.

Abdul is right, but additionally you should search for selection methods, since you will have to select the cat on one picture to copy it on another.
